The Sermon on the Mount for Busy Lives
by Tails Azimuth
The mountain life of Jesus is not about escaping life; it is about reordering life.
Most of us want peace, not confrontation.
But Jesus starts with inner honesty, then moves to outward compassion, then to kingdom-minded decisions.
Three practical reminders:
- Attention is a moral choice. You become what you repeatedly notice.
- Speech reveals the heart. The Sermon begins with truthfulness and ends with peace-making.
- Generosity is protective. It protects both person and relationship from greed.
Try this for one week:
- Choose one verse from the sermon.
- Read it every morning.
- Choose one action that reflects it before lunch.
You do not need to “perform” Jesus; you need to practice one mercy at a time.
