Parables of Mercy for Today
by Tails Azimuth
The parables are not just moral stories. They are invitations into a different economy of grace.
The parable of mercy asks two questions:
- Will I stay inside my own excuses?
- Will I trust that grace can still move?
In the modern world, we treat mercy like a weakness. In the Bible, mercy is often the most practical form of wisdom. It allows the broken to return.
A useful habit from this passage: at the end of each day, name one person you can release from a private grudge.
Grace is not vague here; it is specific enough to act on tomorrow morning.
