Walking Through John's Wounded Heart
by Tails Azimuth
John’s letters carry a tone that many believers identify with immediately: love under pressure.
Loss is often spiritual as much as emotional. It can make prayer sound like paperwork:
- saying the right words,
- hoping nothing changes,
- and hoping nobody notices.
The answer in Scripture is not to suppress grief but to let it become holy space.
When your heart is wounded:
- Name your grief.
- Anchor to one verse without argument.
- Invite community to speak with you.
- Rest in the One who weeps with you.
That is not emotional avoidance. It is mature hope.
