Heal Me, O Lord

by Tails Azimuth

“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.” — Jeremiah 17:14

There are moments in life when we realize we cannot fix everything by ourselves. We may be facing sickness, fear, emotional pain, family struggles, or a situation that feels too heavy to carry. In those moments, Jeremiah 17:14 gives us a simple but powerful prayer:

“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed.”

This verse reminds us that true healing begins with God.

God Is the Source of Healing

Jeremiah does not say, “Maybe I will be healed.” He says, “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed.” That is a prayer of faith. It shows trust that when God heals, His healing is real and complete.

Healing can mean many things. Sometimes we need physical healing. Sometimes we need emotional healing. Sometimes we need healing from fear, stress, disappointment, or a broken heart. Whatever the need is, we can bring it honestly before God.

God Saves and Strengthens Us

The verse continues, “Save me, and I shall be saved.” This shows complete dependence on God. Jeremiah understands that only God can truly rescue, restore, and protect.

When life feels uncertain, we can ask God to save us from fear, hopelessness, confusion, and weakness. His help gives us strength to keep going, even when the road is difficult.

God Is Worthy of Praise

The verse ends with, “for you are my praise.” This means God is not only the One we ask for help; He is also the One we worship.

Even before the answer comes, we can praise Him because He is faithful. Praise reminds our hearts that God is greater than our problems. It shifts our focus from fear to faith.

A Prayer Based on Jeremiah 17:14

Lord, heal me where I am hurting. Restore my body, my heart, my mind, and my spirit. Save me from fear and hopelessness. Give me strength, peace, and faith to trust You. You are my praise, my hope, and my help. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Final Thought

Jeremiah 17:14 is a beautiful reminder that we can come to God with our deepest needs. We do not have to pretend to be strong. We can simply pray:

Heal me, Lord. Save me, Lord. You are my praise.

No matter what you are facing today, God hears you. His healing, His saving power, and His love are still available.

God bless you. 🙏
